He praises the book as \u00abpart linguistic primer, part cultural history,\u00bb and calls The Story of Spanish \u00abentertaining,\u00bb and says it \u00abzips along crisply.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>But strangely, he criticizes us for writing more about \u00abSpanish speakers\u00bb\u00a0 than about Spanish. Curious, since the point of the book is to explain how Spanish grew and spread.
